ACADEMIC YEAR APRIL 2018 TO MARCH 2019
 
  • - The Academic year started on 3rd April 2018

  • - Total number of students was 1188 including pre-primary, primary and secondary section

  • - Total number of teachers was 50 excluding Principal

  • - Vidyavrat Sanskaar – Is a program presented by Jnana Prabodhini. All students from std. 8th took ‘Oath of pursuing learning’ which is called ‘Vidyavrat Sanskar’. This was celebrated during 16th to 21st April. Various guest lecturers were called to talk about the motivation and learning as well as to present the view of ideal student hood. Hon. Principal Mrs. Radhika Ogale and parents were also a part of the ceremony.

  • - Parent meeting for std. 10th as well as for std. 9th was conducted on 21st April and 27th April respectively. Parent meetings for other standards were conducted as per plan during the year. Topics of common concerns were discussed in the meetings.

  • - ‘Yoga Day’ – Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June. Students presented ‘Yogasanas’ and ‘Suryanamaskaras’ under observation of yoga teacher.

  • - Career Guidance program – was conducted on 28th June. Dr. Manjiri Bhalerao conducted the session on “Career Options in History”.

  • - Film Club – A yearlong activity Facilitated by Mr. Bansidhar Kinkar for all students from std. 1st to 10th. The program was conducted once a month throughout the year. Objective of the club is to make children aware and think about the surroundings and happenings of life. Films regarding various concerns followed by group discussion is the structure of it.

  • - ‘Palakhi’ procession was conducted by Pre-Primary section on 20th July to celebrate the famous occasion of ‘Ashadh Ekadashi’. This is one of the iconic events celebrated all over Maharashtra every year.

  • - REBT – Like every year, sessions of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) were planned and conducted for Std. 5th to 7th throughout the year. The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Karkare for the students to manage their emotions and think rationally.

  • - Student leadership Program was planned and conducted throughout the year for the students of standard 8th and 9th.

  • - Investiture ceremony for student representatives was conducted on 27th July on the auspicious occasion of Gurupournima. The representatives were chosen by computerized voting system.

  • - Independence day was celebrated by collectively by Sevasadan English Medium school and Dilasa Karyashala. Principals of both the schools hoisted the flag, students sung national anthem, other national songs and some students gave speeches as well. Distribution of snacks for students was also done.

  • - In August, book stalls were arranged by the book company named ‘Scholastic’ to help children to view, handle and purchase books of different genres.

  • - The school was center for Elementary and intermediate exams of drawing during 27th to 30th September for students of std. 8th and 9th respectively.

  • - First term end exams were planned and conducted during 3rd to 8th of October in school.

  • - ‘Bhondala’ was celebrated on 17th October by Pre-primary section to celebrate the cultural even of Navratri. (Bhondala is celebrated by dancing in a circle holding hands while singing different songs which are passed through heritage. It is celebrated all over Maharashtra as is Garba in Gujarat.)

  • - Second term of the academic year started on 11th October. Diwali competitions were conducted during 1st to 3rd of November. Pre-primary, primary and secondary, all three sections conducted different competitions appropriate to the age and level of skills their students have. Some special mentions could be chanting shlokas, Solo presentations of poetry / drama, object talk, elocution etc. Parents were invited to judge the competition and distribute the certificates.

  • - Mr. Sanjay Kulkarni facilitated students as well as their parents on 3rd November regarding career abilities/aptitudes, choices and opportunities.

  • - Students enjoyed having ‘Bhel’ made by themselves in school to celebrate the occasion of Children’s day on 14th November

  • - ‘One Nation reading together’, an event presented by Scholastic book company was conducted in school and all students and teachers supported it by reading together for one hour.

  • - ‘Vachan Prerna Divas' was celebrated on Oct 15 to promote book reading on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary.

  • - Yearly picnic was arranged at Hidden Oasis for std. 5th to 7th on 30th November and on 23rd November for the students of std. 8th to 10th. Picnic for primary and pre-primary sections were arranged at Orchid resort on 11th January and on 29th November respectively.

  • - Annual Sports days were arranged on 30th November for Primary Section, on 1st December for Secondary section and on 14th December for Pre-primary section. Students showed their competence in balancing the book, foot cricket, hurdle race and various other sports appropriate to their age groups. Best sportsperson was given a prize for appreciation.

  • - Dr. Amit Karkare facilitated students of std. 10th in the month of December regarding coping with stress.

  • - Students of std. 5th to 7th celebrated ‘Makar-Sankranti’ by collectively performing Suryanamaskaras.

  • - Annual prize distribution ceremony was conducted on __________

  • - Republic day was celebrated by Sevasadan English Medium School and Dilasa Karyashala, collectively.

  • Students sang National Anthem and other songs as well as gave speeches on some famous personalities and their work, after flag hoisting.
    • - Annual Social Gathering was planned and carried out on 28th January by secondary section, 29th and 30th January by Primary Section and 31st January by Pre-primary section. School arranged a refreshment lunch for all the students, teachers, office and additional staff on 1st of February.

    • - Send off party was arranged for students of std. 10th in which principal Mrs. Radhika Ogale guided students for future life and expressed her best wishes on behalf of school. Also, certificates for their academic and behavioural achievements were given away. Students expressed their gratitude and feelings towards school in their speeches. The program ended with a feast for all.

    • - Annual exams were conducted as per planning during 5th March to 12th March.

    • - Teachers planned programs and academics for the next year in the end of the current academic year. They planned for syllabus, competitions, extra-curricular and other activities and also planned for stationary and required materials accordingly.
